GDUT ranks world top 500 in ARWU 2020

The 2020 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) was released on 15 August 2020 by ShanghaiRanking Consultancy. Since 2003, ARWU has been presenting the world top universities annually based on transparent methodology and objective third-party data. It has been recognized as the precursor of global university rankings and the most trustworthy one. This year, the best 1000 universities in the world are published.

Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT) ranks top 50-71 in Chinese mainland,enters into Top 500 list for the first time, made its first-ever appearances in the Top 1000 in 2019.

8月15日，全球领先的高等教育评价机构软科正式发布“2020软科世界大学学术排名”，排名展示了全球领先的1000所研究型大学。

广东工业大学首次跻身全球500强，排名内地高校第50-71位。2019年首次跻身软科世界大学1000强，2020年排名大幅度攀升，显示了学校快速提升的学术水平和国际影响力。

软科世界大学学术排名（ShanghaiRanking's Academic Ranking of World Universities，简称ARWU）是世界范围内首个综合性的全球大学排名，2003年首次发布，今年发布的是第18版。软科世界大学学术排名是最具影响力和权威性的国际四大排名之一，在世界各地被广泛报导和大量引用。
