Notice on the 14th Guangzhou Friendship Games

In order to promote exchanges and friendship between Chinese and international friends in Guangzhou, the 14th Games will be held from Saturday, June 13 to Sunday, June 14, 2026.

I. Time and Venue

Time: 13th to 14th of June 2026 (Saturday & Sunday)

Venue: Tianhe Sports Center

II. Application Period

11th(Monday) to 17th of May 2026 (Sunday)

III. Applicants

All registered international students of GDUT.

IV. Application Method

Please scan below QR code to fill in your personal information and submit it on time. Application Deadline: 4pm, 17th of May 2026 (Sunday).Overdue application will not be accepted.

Notes:

1. Each persons is limited to sign up 2 entries.

2. When 2 competitions has time conflicts, you should choose one to participate in.

V.Ball Games Events and Rules

Ⅰ.Five-a-side Basketball (Men’s)

Each game is divided into two halves, each half lasting 15 minutes with an intermission of 5 minutes. Each team can request pause of 30 seconds twice at each half.

Should a team commit six team fouls during one half of a game, the team should be penalized, and the opposing side gets a free throw; any player who commits five personal fouls over the course of a game should be foul out and disqualified for the remainder of the game.

Ⅱ.Seven-a-side Football (Men’s)

The length of the field ranges from 25meters to 42meters, and the width is from 15meters to 25meters. The goal rim is 2meters tall and 3meters wide. 20 minutes for each match (with 10 minutes for each half and a 5-minute intermission).

Each team is required to prepare 2 sets of uniforms (one in deep color and one in light color) with numbers printed. All players of the same team must wear the same color. Players shall wear fabric or leather shoes with rubber soles or shoes that specially made for playing on artificial grass.

During the first stage of round robin, teams will receive points as follows: 3 points for a win, one point for a draw and zero point for a loss. Teams with more points are ranked higher. The teams with the most points will go to the second round.

Ⅲ. Tennis Match

The games include: men's doubles (and mixed doubles) (Group A, Group B) and women's doubles (Group A, Group B) .

The games adopt The Rules of Tennis approved by the Chinese Tennis Association. It will be regarded as waiver if the player does not arrive at the venue 10 minutes after the game begins.

Ⅳ. Badminton Match

Players are divided into two groups: Group A and Group B. The event includes men's singles, women's singles and men's doubles (mixed doublesincluded). Single elimination tournament and playoff are adopted to decide the ranking.

The games adopt The Rules of Badminton approved by the Chinese Badminton Association. It will be regarded as waiver if the player does not arrive at the venue 5minutes after the game begins.

Ⅴ. Table Tennis Competition

The games include: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles.

Group round robin takes place first. In the group round robin, two points will be awarded for a win, one point for a loss and zero point for abstention. The top two players of each group will go to the single elimination tournament until the champion, runner-up and two third places and two fifth places are decided.

Players are supposed to bring their own rackets. The players should prepare uniforms (Please kindly avoid white uniform). It will be regarded as waiver if the player is 5 minutes late.

Ⅵ. The Bowling Game

The games include: Men’s Singles, Women’s Singles.

Players have 30 minutes for practice prior to the games. Each player plays four rounds, top three of which are recorded as personal performance. Players should arrive at the venue in advance as required by the Programme. It will be regarded as waiver if the player does not show up 10 minutes after the game begins.

VI. Awards

Prizes will be awarded to the top 8 in each event.

VII. Other Notes

Ⅰ.All registered participants must be insuranced.

Ⅱ.Athletes participating in the competition must be in good fitness and without any discomfort or illness.The registration of an athlete for participation will be considered as an automatic confirmation that the athlete is in a good health.

Ⅲ.Athletes should bring their own rackets if they participate into Tennis Match,Badminton Match or Table Tennis Competition.

Ⅳ.Participants must present their passport on-site when entry into the venue.

Note: In case of any inconsistency occurs, the Chinese version of notice shall prevail.
