International Education Center (IEC) is sponsoring an Essay and Photography Contest to reflect the international students' perceptions of China especially GD province during COVID-19. This contest aims to implement the important spirit of President XI Jinping's letter to all Pakistani international students, encouraging the international students to share their story in China especially in GDUT and to strengthen the friendship between international students and Chinese people.

IV Requirements
1. Applicants share what you have seen, heard, felt and gained in fighting against COVID-19 by submitting entries including essay or photography. Entries should be original and compliance with laws and moral rules, conform to the theme of event. Applicants assume all legal responsibilities for their entries. Plagiarism will lead to severe consequences and is strictly prohibited.
2. Entries can be essay or photography, the specific subject of entries is determined by applicants. No limitation on style is set, Chinese or English language is required.
3. The length of essay should be around 800-1500 Chinese characters or 600-1200 English words. Applicants are required to submit 2-3 electronic photos and 1 personal life photo with caption, photos in JPG format and under 1 MB.
4. Photo entries could be described from your own perspective, and you are encouraged to show the innovation and Open-up of GD Province, the thriving and constant improvement of GDUT including the touching moments during the epidemic. Applicants are required to submit 2-3 photos in JPG format, under 2 MB with less than 200 words description, which including subject, author, shooting time and location, shooting equipment and content introduction etc.
V Review Rules
IEC will invite faculty representatives to form a judging committee to review and evaluate the entries.The winners will be announced on IEC website.
VI Rewards
The contest has 1 first-place prize, 2 second-place prizes, 3 third-place prizes and merit awards. The committee will award prizes, honorary bonuses and certificates to the winners of the contest.
First prize: 1,certificate and honorary bonuses RMB1000
Second prize: 2, certificate and honorary bonuses RMB700/person
Third prize: 3, certificate and honorary bonuses RMB500/person
Merit Award: 6, certificate and honorary bonuses RMB300/person
Note: Bonus award money will be pre-tax figures.
VII Submitting
From now until July 28, 2020 (Tuesday), essay or photography should be sent to 94649138@qq.com. The email subject and electronic document should be named "Work name + person name + contact information".
