2023 "Looking China Youth Film Project"(Zhaoqing, Guangdong) opening ceremony was held in Zhaoqing on April 12, which is hosted by the Academy for International Communication of Chinese Culture (AICCC), Beijing Normal University and Huilin Foundation,organized by Zhaoqing University and supported by International Exchange College of Guangdong University of Technology.
The aim of the project is to reveal the simplicity and prosperity, antiquity and modernity of China from the unique perspective of foreign youths, and bring Chinese culture onto the global stage, fostering of cross-cultural communication and cooperation between the younger generation from China and abroad.Since its inception in 2010, "Looking China" has supported more than 800 young people from 101 countries and regions to make documentary films about a real, vibrant and glamorous China.
This year the films will focus on "Folk Residence, Folk Song, Folk Custom." Through directors' personal experience and perspective, the films are expected to show both China's modernity and time-honored culture and arts.
