On July 31, the 24th Chinese University Basketball Association (CUBA) tournament Men's Basketball Division I National Finals was held at the Jiangnan Sports Center in Chongqing City, Guangdong University of Technology 86-89 finished as the second runner-up while competing with the defending champion Tsinghua University.
It is remarkable that this is the first time GDUT men's basketball team has earned the highest finish in history. Coach Yu Guanglong was named the best coach in CUBA.
