On 21 February,professor Qiu Xueqing, President of GDUT, visited the International Exchange College (International Education Center) for field investigation accompanied by Zhi Lin, Director of Office of the President, Xu Zehao, Director of Office of Student Affairs,Bei Chun, Director of Office of Faculty Affairs, Luo Yanqing, Director of Office of Finance Management, Huang Rong, Director of International Office, Li Zhi, Deputy Director of Law Office. Huang Xincheng, director of International Education Center and other staff attended the symposium.

At the meeting,Huang Xincheng introduced the education and service of international students from the aspects of basic situation, mission and goals, existing problems, solutions suggestion etc..

Qiu Xueqing listened to the report and gave affirmation to the painstaking efforts made by IEC,and offered guidance according to the actual situation and development strategy.He pointed out that the the development of intl student education and constrution of IEC will be closely combined with the university's development goals for opening up.

Before the meeting, President Qiu Xueqing chatted with the faculties and international students,extending new year's greetings and wishes to them on behalf the university.
