On 3 September 2019,the Fourth China-Africa Youth Festival opened in China Hotel Guangzhou. Present at the opening ceremony were nearly 100 African youth representatives from 51 members of the Forum of China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and about 90 Chinese youth representatives.GDUT International student representatives from Egypt,Guinea,Senegal,Gambia,Ivory Coast, Niger,Mali,Cameroon,Congo (Kinshasa) led by IEC joined the Festival celebration and participated in performance.

China-Africa Youth Festival is a China-Africa youth exchange activity conducted under the FOCAC framework. As one of the supporting activities of the FOCAC Summit, the Festival this time is hosted by the Foreign Ministry and organized by Government of Guangdong Province.
