On June 1st, Guangdong Province reported a further new 10 cases, with 7 in Guangzhou and 3 in Foshan. 7 asymptomatic cases were reported, with 5 in Guangzhou and 2 in Shenzhen.
Three confirmed imported cases were reported, including two by Guangzhou from Cambodia and Liberia, one by Foshan from Philippines. The province also reported 2 imported asymptomatic cases, including one by Shenzhen from India, and the other one by Jiangmen from UAE.
Three cases recovered and were discharged yesterday.
As of Tuesday, Guangdong had reported a total of 2,481 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 1,038 imported ones, according to the commission.
During the period of prevention and control over COVID-19, foreign nationals in Guangdong province can call1258088(24 hour hot-line in English and Chinese) for inquiries or assistance at anytime.
Guangzhou reports 7 new locally confirmed COVID-19 cases
Guangzhou reported 7 new locally confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 5 new local asymptomatic carriers on June 1. All these cases were detected from screening of close contacts of cases reported before and key population. They have all now been transferred to the Guangzhou No.8 People's Hospital for quarantine and treatment.
Thus far, 132 close contacts have been identified and put under quarantine.

Health codes required when taking public transport in Guangzhou
Now residents are also required to show health codes when taking public transport or entering public venues.
Guangzhou tightens the screening of people in key regions in epidemic prevention and control.For residents who have recently stayed in key areas in the city but have not yet been tested for nucleic acid (or have no test results), their Suikang Code Will turn yellow from May 28.
They will receive a message that requesting them to do nucleic acid testing. If the test result of these residents is negative, the health code will automatically return to green.
Guangzhou adjusted two streets in Liwan to high-risk
Baihedong Street (白鹤洞街), Zhongnan Street (中南街) in Guangzhou's Liwan District, have been raised to high-risk from medium-risk on June 2, amid the COVID-19 prevention and control, according to the local authority.

The city has also added two COVID-19 medium-risk areas, one is Building 16, Building 17, Building 18 of the east area of Jinxiu Bandao, Luopu Street, Panyu District (番禺区洛浦街锦绣半岛社区锦绣东区16栋、17栋、18栋), and the second is Building A, Building B, Building C of Tang Ge, Nanzhou Ming Yuan, Rui Bao Street, Haizhu District (海珠区瑞宝街南洲名苑棠阁A栋、B栋、C栋).
