Important Notes for International Students On-campus Accommodation (Excerpts from Relevant Documents)

国际学生校内住宿重要须知（摘录）

1. 所有申请校内住宿的国际学生严格遵守《广东工业大学学生宿舍管理规定》等相关规定并按时交纳住宿费，住宿由学校总务部门统一安排；已安排校内住宿者，不得私自在校外住宿。校内国际学生公寓住宿费，一年按12个月计。寒、暑假期间，学校原则上不留宿学生，如因学习科研或者实习等需要留住宿舍者，必须填写申请表，办理相关审批手续。学历生须交满一年（12个月）的住宿费，非学历生根据学习时间，交3个月或半年的住宿费，未按时缴费的学生将不再提供住宿。拖欠住宿费、水电费超过1个月者，取消校内住宿资格并追缴相关费用。 

All international students who apply for on-campus accommodation should promise to abide by the <Dormitory Management Regulations of Guangdong University of Technology> (hereafter as “Regulation”) and relevant rules, pay the accommodation fee on time. Accommodation is arranged by General Affairs Division of the university. Those who have been arranged on-campus accommodation are not allowed to live off-campus without permission. Housing fees are calculated in one year (12 months) and be paid in full before occupancy. During the winter or summer vacation, students who need to stay in the dormitory, they must make an application and go through the relevant approval procedures. Undergraduate and graduate students must pay one year (12 months) accommodation fee; non-degree students such as language students must pay 3 months or half year's accommodation fee according to the length of study. Students who fail to pay on time will no longer provide accommodation. Failure to settle housing, utilities, or related fees for over 1 month will result in eviction and debt recovery.

2. 校内住宿的学生在指定的房间、床位住宿，接受统一安排和调配，不得擅自调换房间和床位以及将其转借、转租。学生要爱护学生宿舍公物，要合理使用和妥善管理宿舍内的公共家具、家电、水电设施、能源设施、清洁用具、门窗墙壁、网络设施、通讯器材等。因使用不当或其他不当行为而造成公物损坏者，按价赔偿。禁止在宿舍内存放和使用电热棒、电炉和电饭锅、电炒锅、电磁炉、电水壶等大功率电器（功率在750W以下的电吹风、饮水机等除外）。

Students living in the dormitory must obey the unified arrangements and deployment of management personnel, stay in designated rooms and beds. Students are not allowed to exchange or use other rooms or beds without approval, and rent beds are prohibited. Students should take good care of dormitory public property, do reasonable use and proper management of dormitory public furniture, appliances, water and electricity facilities, energy facilities, cleaning appliances, doors, windows and walls, network facilities, communication equipment, etc..Those who cause damage to public property due to improper use or other improper behavior, need to make compensation for the loss or damage according to price. It is prohibited to store and use electric stoves, rice cookers, electric wok, induction cookers, electric kettles and other high-power electrical appliances (except hair dryers and water dispensers with power below 750W) in dormitories.

3. 学生应严格执行宿舍晚熄灯制度，每天晚上熄灯休息时间为23:30至次日早晨7:00（周五、周六除外）。禁止在学生宿舍区内从事影响他人学习、休息的活动（如大声喧哗、打扑克、玩游戏等）。禁止在学生宿舍擅自留宿外人；学生宿舍禁止吸烟；严禁赌博、酗酒、吸毒、偷窃、打架斗殴等违反中国法律法规和校纪校规的行为。严禁在宿舍区饲养宠物。保持宿舍走廊、楼梯的通畅整洁，不准把拖把、扫把、鞋及其他物品摆放在走廊、楼梯等公共通道上。

Students should observe the timetable for sleeping. Rest schedule for dormitory is from 11.30pm until next day 7am (Except Friday and Saturday).It is prohibited to engage in any activities that affect others' study and rest in the dormitory area(such as loud talking, playing cards, playing games, etc.).Students are not allowed to have guests stay in their dormitory rooms. Smoking is prohibited in the dormitory. Gambling, excessive drinking, drug use, thievery, fighting, and other actions in violation of Chinese laws and/or GDUT regulations are strictly forbidden. Pets and animals are not allowed in the dorm. Keep the corridors and stairs clean, and do not place mops, brooms, shoes and other personal goods on the corridors, stairs and other public passages.

4. 违反学校考勤规定者，将取消其校内住宿资格。退宿时，若房间破坏或设施设备、配套物品等损坏或丢失（如张贴墙纸、私自搬换家具设备等），国际学生须自行负责维修费用或照价赔偿。校内住宿经验收确认后，方可办理退宿手续。

Violators of school attendance rules will be disqualified from on-campus accommodation. Students shall be responsible for the cost of repairs or reimbursement for any loss or damage to the facilities, equipment or accessories in the room before checkout (such as put up wallpaper, move furniture without permission). Otherwise, students are not permitted to check out of on-campus accommodation until they have received confirmation of acceptance.

5. 学生宿舍是各位同学休息生活的地方，非娱乐活动、宗教场所。宿舍严禁学生举办聚众活动，如生日派对和礼拜祭祀；不得进行传教、宗教聚会等任何宗教活动。

Dormitory is a living and residential area for students, not an entertainment or religion place, any gathering activities such as birthday party, preaching or religious gatherings are forbidden.

6. 违反宿舍管理规定者，将予以相应处罚。

The university will impose corresponding punishments on those who have violated the dorm regulations.
