一、活动背景 Background

“看中国·外国青年影像计划”（Looking China · Foreign Youth Film Project）由北京师范大学中国文化国际传播研究院（AICCC）和会林文化基金联合主办，至今已邀请来自102个国家的1200余名外国青年导演参与，创作1160余部中国主题纪录短片。

The “Looking China·Foreign Youth Film Project”is co-organized by the Academy for International Communication of Chinese Culture (AICCC), Beijing Normal University, and the Huilin Culture Fund. Over the past years, more than 1,200 foreign young directors from 102 countries have joined the project and produced 1,160+ documentary shorts about China.

自2022年起，肇庆市委宣传部联合北京师范大学、肇庆学院、广东工业大学、广东外语外贸大学，连续举办“看中国”系列活动。依托广东丰富的地方历史文化资源，以中外“Z世代”青年的独特视角，通过影像讲述中国故事、广东故事和肇庆故事——既透过“看中国”推动中外人文交流，也透过“看中华”促进粤港澳大湾区内部的互动与融合。Since 2022, the Publicity Department of the Zhaoqing Municipal Party Committee has joined hands with Beijing Normal University, Zhaoqing University, Guangdong University of Technology, and Guangdong University of Foreign Studies to consecutively host a series of events. Leveraging Guangdong's rich local historical and cultural resources, these events adopt the unique perspectives of Chinese and international "Generation Z" youth to tell Chinese, Guangdong, and Zhaoqing stories through visual media. They not only promote people-to-people exchanges between China and other countries through "Looking China," but also enhance interactions and integration within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area through "Looking China."

该活动旨在通过外国及港澳台青年电影人的独特视角，在中方志愿者配合下，拍摄完成10分钟中国文化纪录短片。活动以“外国及港澳台青年讲中华故事”为核心逻辑，通过独立创作与亲身体验，切实提升中国文化的国际影响力和吸引力，并深化中外青年之间的跨文化交流、沟通与合作。

This events aim to enable foreign and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan young filmmakers to shoot 10-minute documentary shorts on Chinese culture from their unique perspectives, with the assistance of Chinese volunteers. Guided by the core principle of "foreign and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan youth telling Chinese stories," the events seek to effectively enhance the international influence and appeal of Chinese culture and deepen cross-cultural exchanges, communication, and cooperation between Chinese and foreign youth through independent creation and first-hand experience.

2026年，“看中国”年度主题定为“城韵·时尚·活力”，聚焦当代中国城市图景，旨在通过青年视角与影像表达，在历史街区中感悟深厚城韵，在潮流前沿触摸摩登时尚，在烟火日常中记录蓬勃活力，用镜头书写当代中国生动多元的城市形象，向世界展示真实、立体、全面的中国。

In 2026, the annual theme of "Looking China" is set as "Urban Charm · Fashion · Vitality," focusing on the contemporary urban landscape of China. Through the lens and perspectives of youth, the project aims to appreciate profound urban charm in historic districts, touch modern fashion at trendsetting frontiers, and capture vibrant energy in everyday life. It seeks to portray the vivid and diverse urban image of contemporary China through film, showcasing a true, multi-dimensional, and panoramic view of the country to the world.

三、活动概述 Overview

· 外国青年导演将与中方制片人搭档，完成一部 10分钟中国/广东主题纪录短片；

Foreign directors will work with Chinese producers to make one 10-minute documentary short.

· 工作包括：选题、调研、拍摄、剪辑、后期与展映；

Work includes topic selection, research, shooting, editing, post-production and screening.

· 项目期间有中方志愿者、翻译、媒体与纪录片团队协助；

Chinese volunteers, translators, media and documentary teams will provide support.

· 优秀作品可进入“看中国”展映体系，并有机会被中外媒体平台推送。

Outstanding films may enter the “Looking China” screening system and be promoted by Chinese and international media platforms.

五、招募启动 Recruitment

现面向在校国际学生招募2名外国青年导演。

2 foreign young directors from current international students of IEC.

报名条件 Requirements

· 外国国籍，在校国际学生；

Foreign passport holders and currently enrolled international students;

· 热爱中国文化，擅长表达与沟通；

Interested in Chinese culture, with good expression and communication skills;

· 有纪录片 / 短视频 / 摄影 / 剪辑经验者优先；

Prior experience in documentary, short video, photography or editing is preferred;

· 能全程参与项目周期（具体拍摄周期后续通知，原项目为17天集中创作）；

Able to join the full project period (specific shooting days to be notified; the original program requires 17 days of intensive production);

· 英文可作为工作语言，会一点中文更佳。

English as working language; basic Chinese is a plus.
